You've got to start with the customer experience

Steve Jobs response to a rather critical question:

You’ve got to start with the customer experience and work backwards to the technology. You can’t start with the technology and try to figure out where you’re going to try to sell it.

This brings to mind previous discussions about having a solution mindset.

It is a valuable skill to be able to think from the end user’s perspective – how will they use this? what problems will they have installing it? Something that is hard for some of us engineers to do …
