The case of the computer that would not reboot

I recently started to have problems with my workstation rebooting after updates. It would stop with a single cursor on the screen and not even display the BIOS splash. After messing around a bit I could usually get it to boot again. Eventually suspected things started working after it cooled down a bit.

Blew out the fans/heatsinks with an air compressor, and seems to be working fine now. Need to take @jeffsFOM advice and blow dust out of all computers every time the time changes – twice/year.

This is a good monitoring application – something should have known the workstation was running hotter long before I did – time to eat some more dogfood
