The Sway windows manager looks interesting. Supposedly similar to i3, but for Wayland instead of X11.

I ran the Awesome window manager for awhile some time back, then went back to XFCE and now I’m using KDE Plasma. But, my fundamental use of screens is throwing apps into one half of a screen, so seems a lot like tiling.

Niri is another one in the list of tiling WMs on wayland, its written in rust and has infinite horizontal strip for windows seems to be its USP
