I have a deep appreciation for RSS, being one of the few truly decentralized communication technologies (email being the other). A RSS feed reader (currently Feedly) has been providing great value for years, and now a Podcast player (AntennaPod on Android).
With RSS, you get to choose what to consume rather than an attention-grabbing algorithm.
