This is a very interesting topic and deserves consideration. My experience using Discourse at this site suggests it could also fill a very similar function as P2. Microblogging has been a good experience. It does not carry the burden of a “proper” blog where you review posts for grammar, etc, but yet is free form enough that it encourages some thought – after all, if you’re not writing, your’re not thinking. Having your own microblogging site also ensures you have a high signal-to-noise searchable archive of notes and is not as much of a distraction as large platforms like Twitter and Linked-in.
