Noticed two projects recently:
- MicroOS is an Immutable OS, rollback is simple
- builds packages in isolation from each other
- Nix is a purely functional package manager.
Having used Elm for some time now, I’m a fan of functional languages. Never tried a “functional” package manager, but wondering what problems it solves? For my workstations, Arch Linux has been a great experience. Ubuntu server has also been great in the server space. Guess it is probably time to just try these and see what I’m missing …
